Wout Felix Lina Faes

Wout Faes is a Belgian centre-back born in Mol on 3 April 1998. He joined Anderlecht's academy in 2012, captaining youth sides that reached consecutive UEFA Youth League semi-finals in 2014–15 and 2015–16, and he helped Belgium win bronze at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. After loans at Heerenveen and Excelsior, Faes moved to Oostende in 2018. He became a regular starter and later captain before joining Reims in 2020. At the Ligue 1 club, Wout Faes established himself as a key defender and earned his first senior Belgium call-up in 2021. Leicester signed him in 2022, and he helped the club respond to relegation by winning promotion in 2024. For Belgium, Faes has featured in the senior setup, including Euro 2024. As a ball-playing centre-back, he contributes progressive passing while defending proactively and competing in duels.
