Walid Cheddira

Walid Cheddira is a Moroccan forward born in Loreto, Italy, on 22 January 1998. He developed in Italian football before making his breakthrough with Bari, initially joining the Apulian club on loan in 2021. Cheddira helped Bari earn promotion to Serie B and became a prominent attacking figure during the 2022–23 campaign. He finished that season as the Coppa Italia’s top scorer, a landmark achievement in his rise through the professional game. His performances led to international recognition with Morocco, for whom he made his senior debut in September 2022. Cheddira was included in Morocco’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, appearing against Spain and Portugal during the team’s historic run to the semi-finals. He is currently with Napoli and has also spent time with Frosinone in Serie A.
