William Benard

William Benard is a French midfielder who developed through local football in Brittany before joining the Stade de Reims academy in 2020. He spent his formative years with Saint-M'Hervé and AS Vitré, then continued his education with Reims U19 and Stade de Reims II. In July 2023, Benard moved to Laval, where he combined involvement with the senior setup and appearances for Laval II. Laval later loaned him to Paris 13 Atletico in the Championnat National, giving him experience in senior football before his return in June 2025. At Laval, Benard operates centrally and can also play as a defensive midfielder, offering a secure first pass and protection in front of the defence. His development has continued within the Laval system, where his ball retention and positional discipline support the team's midfield structure.
