Waldemar Riptsov Anton

Waldemar Riptsov Anton is a German defender born in Almalyk, Uzbekistan, on 20 July 1996. He began playing at Mühlenberger SV before entering Hannover 96’s academy, initially developing as a striker. Anton made his Bundesliga debut for Hannover 96 in February 2016 and became the club’s youngest Bundesliga captain in 2018. After five seasons in Hannover, he moved to VfB Stuttgart in 2020, where he established himself as a central defender and became captain in 2023. His leadership helped Stuttgart finish runners-up in the 2023–24 Bundesliga and qualify for the Champions League. Anton joined Borussia Dortmund in 2024, continuing his career at the highest domestic level. Internationally, he won the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship with Germany, made his senior debut in 2024, and appeared at Euro 2024.
