Wessam Haissam Abou Ali

Wessam Haissam Abou Ali is a forward for Columbus Crew, having been born in Aalborg, Denmark, on 4 January 1999. He developed with B52/AFC before joining Aalborg BK’s academy at 11, initially playing goalkeeper and later moving through midfield and wide roles before settling as a centre-forward. Abou Ali made his professional debut for AaB in March 2018 and subsequently gained senior experience with Vendsyssel FF and Silkeborg IF. In 2023, he moved to Swedish club IK Sirius, scoring 10 goals in 16 Allsvenskan appearances. Al Ahly signed Abou Ali in January 2024, and he helped the club win the 2023–24 CAF Champions League while finishing as the Egyptian Premier League’s leading scorer with 18 goals. He later represented Palestine after previously appearing for Denmark’s youth teams. Abou Ali then continued his career in Major League Soccer with Columbus Crew.
