Víctor Gómez Perea

Víctor Gómez Perea is a Spanish right-back born in Olesa de Montserrat on 1 April 2000. He developed through Espanyol’s academy and made his senior debut for the club’s reserve side in March 2017. Gómez reached Espanyol’s first team and made his La Liga debut against Villarreal in October 2019, gaining experience during a relegation season. He then moved into Segunda División, spending successive loan spells with Mirandés and Málaga, where he continued to establish himself as a regular full-back. In 2022, Gómez joined SC Braga and progressed into Portuguese top-flight football and European competition, including the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. As a right-sided defender, he combines width and overlapping runs with passing from deep and recovery work in defensive phases. Gómez has also represented Spain at youth level, including the squad that reached the latter stages of the 2023 European Under-21 Championship.
