Viljami Kari Veikko Sinisalo

Viljami Kari Veikko Sinisalo is a Finnish goalkeeper born on 11 October 2001. Raised through HyPS, HJK and Honka, he made his senior debut for FC Espoo in Finland’s Kakkonen at 15. In July 2018, Aston Villa brought him to England at 16, where he continued his development in the club’s youth system. He then gained experience on loan at Ayr United in 2020–21, Burton Albion in 2022–23 and Exeter City in 2023–24. At Exeter, Sinisalo became the first-choice goalkeeper, appearing in 50 matches across competitions, keeping 14 clean sheets and receiving the club’s Player of the Year awards from supporters and teammates. His performances earned a move to Celtic in July 2024, initially as a long-term successor and deputy to Kasper Schmeichel. Internationally, he captained Finland Under-21s before making his senior debut against Estonia in January 2023, and he remains part of Finland’s goalkeeping group.
