Veljko Simić

Veljko Simić is a Serbian midfielder born in Lazarevac on 17 February 1995. He developed at FK Crvena Zvezda before moving to Basel in 2014, beginning a demanding period of senior football abroad. Loans took him to NK Domžale, FC Schaffhausen and FC Chiasso, and he left Basel in 2017 before joining FK Zemun. Simić revived his career at Zemun, scoring a late goal against Vojvodina in 2018 before returning to Crvena Zvezda that summer. With Red Star, he helped win the Serbian SuperLiga in 2018–19 and 2019–20. He joined Vojvodina in 2021 and became a major attacking contributor, later earning recognition as the club’s best player in 2022. Simić made his senior Serbia debut in January 2023 and scored against the United States, while his more recent club football has continued with Sabah FA.
