Vincenzo Polito

Vincenzo Polito is an Italian defender born in Napoli on 14 March 1999. He developed his professional career in Italy’s lower divisions, beginning with ACR Messina before continuing through Cavese, Casertana, Monterosi, Viterbese and Potenza. Polito later returned to Messina, then took on new challenges with SPAL and Lecco during the 2024–25 campaign. Primarily a right-back, he has also been used at centre-back and left-back, giving his teams cover across the defensive line. In July 2025, Polito moved abroad to join Maltese champions Ħamrun Spartans, ending a long spell in the Italian system. He featured in the 2025–26 UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign and scored against RFS as Ħamrun progressed. At Ħamrun Spartans, Polito combines defensive positioning and physical work with short-passing build-up, while adding experience to the back line.
