Vitalii Mykolenko

Vitalii Mykolenko is a Ukrainian left-back, born in Cherkasy on 29 May 1999. He developed at Dynamo Kyiv’s Valeriy Lobanovskyi youth school and made his Dynamo U19 debut in 2016. After progressing into the senior squad, he made his first-team debut against Stal Kamianske in August 2017. Mykolenko established himself in Kyiv, helping Dynamo win the Ukrainian Premier League in 2020/21 before moving to Everton in January 2022. At Everton, he adapted to Premier League football as a defence-minded full-back, contributing through positioning, tackling and recovery work on the left. He also showed attacking quality with a long-range volley against Leicester City, which was named Everton’s Goal of the Season. For Ukraine, Mykolenko made his senior debut at 19 and played in their run to the Euro 2020 quarter-finals, starting four matches.
