Vedat Muriqi

Vedat Muriqi is a Kosovo centre-forward born in Prizren on 24 April 1994. He began his football development with Liria Prizren and made his senior breakthrough there before moving to Albania, where he played for Teuta Durrës and Besa Kavajë. After emerging with Giresunspor in Turkey’s second tier, Muriqi stepped up to the Süper Lig with Gençlerbirliği and Çaykur Rizespor. His 2018–19 campaign at Rizespor brought 17 league goals and helped earn a move to Fenerbahçe, where he scored 15 league goals in 2019–20. Lazio signed Muriqi in 2020, but his opportunities in Italy were limited, and he scored twice in Serie A. A January 2022 loan to Mallorca revived his career, with the move later made permanent. Muriqi also became an important forward for Kosovo, combining aerial strength, hold-up play and penalty-box finishing.
