Vedad Muftić

Vedad Muftić is a Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper born in Sarajevo on 25 October 2001. He began his football development at NK Stup in 2013 before joining FK Željezničar’s academy in 2014. Muftić progressed through the club’s youth ranks and made his senior debut for Željezničar against Olimpik on 25 April 2021. He recorded his first senior clean sheet a month later, helping Željezničar defeat Krupa 3–0. Over the following seasons, Muftić developed into the Sarajevo club’s first-choice goalkeeper, leading the league with 92 saves in 2023–24 and reaching his 100th appearance in August 2025. In June 2025, he received his first senior Bosnia and Herzegovina call-up and was an unused substitute against San Marino and Slovenia. He is currently listed with AEK Larnaca.
