Veljko Mijailović

Veljko Mijailović is a Serbian defender from Gornji Milanovac, born on 29 December 2000. He began his development in FK Metalac’s youth system before moving to FK Voždovac, where he continued through the cadet and youth ranks. Returning to Metalac in 2019, Mijailović moved into senior football and gained experience through spells with FK Sloga Požega and FK Borac 1926 Čačak. He joined Borac on loan during the 2022–23 season, adding lower-league competition to his formative years. In July 2024, he left Serbia for his first move abroad, signing for Slovenian top-flight club Koper. At Koper, Mijailović has been used primarily as a right-back, with the ability to contribute in an inverted role and support attacks. His progression from Serbian youth football to a regular place in Slovenia reflects a steady adjustment to senior top-flight football.
