Valentin André Stanislas Gendrey

Valentin André Stanislas Gendrey is a French defender who operates primarily at right-back. He developed in local French clubs before joining Amiens SC’s academy in 2016, progressing through the club’s reserve side. Gendrey made his professional debut for Amiens in Ligue 2 in August 2020 and became a regular during the 2020–21 campaign. In July 2021, he moved to Lecce, where he helped the club win the 2021–22 Serie B title and gained experience in Serie A. Across three seasons in Italy, Gendrey established himself as a defensively reliable full-back noted for positioning, interceptions, recovery work and energetic runs on the right. He joined 1899 Hoffenheim in August 2024 and continued his development in the Bundesliga, while also appearing in European competition. At international level, Gendrey has represented France at under-18 and under-21 level, including the 2023 European Under-21 Championship.
