Valentin Iulian Crețu

Valentin Iulian Crețu is a Romanian right-back born in Buzău on 2 January 1989. He developed at Olimpia Râmnicu Sărat before beginning his senior career with Gloria Buzău, where he made his Liga I debut in the 2008–09 season. Crețu then gained experience with Concordia Chiajna, Gaz Metan Mediaș, ACS Poli Timișoara and Germany’s Energie Cottbus. In August 2019, he moved from Gaz Metan Mediaș to FCSB, establishing himself as a regular on the right side. With FCSB, he won the 2019–20 Cupa României, the 2023–24 Liga I title and the 2024–25 Supercupa României. His game combines energetic recovery work, pressing, standing tackles and disciplined positioning with overlapping runs and crossing. Crețu also made his Romania debut in November 2020, adding international experience to a career that has continued into veteran leadership at FCSB.
