Valon Berisha

Valon Berisha is a right-footed midfielder born in Malmö, Sweden, and developed in Norway after beginning his senior career with Egersunds IK in 2008. He moved to Viking FK in 2010, becoming a regular and increasingly operating centrally after initially featuring on the left. In 2012, Berisha joined Red Bull Salzburg, where his energetic, versatile midfield play helped the club win five Austrian Bundesliga titles and four Austrian Cups. He later transferred to Lazio in 2018 after Salzburg’s run to the Europa League semi-finals, before continuing his career with Stade Reims, Melbourne City and LASK Linz. Berisha represented Norway at youth and senior level before switching to Kosovo in 2016. He scored Kosovo’s first competitive FIFA goal, a penalty against Finland, and later established himself as an important international midfielder. In 2026, Berisha joined FC Zürich.
