Viktor Örlygur Andrason

Viktor Örlygur Andrason is an Icelandic defensive midfielder who developed at Víkingur Reykjavík. He progressed through the club’s youth system and joined its senior side in 2016, beginning a career spent with Víkingur. Andrason has remained a regular presence in the Reykjavík club’s midfield, making more than 150 league appearances. Primarily deployed as a defensive midfielder, he has also played in central midfield and at centre-back, with occasional wide roles. His international development included Iceland Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 football, with goals for the Under-16 and Under-21 sides. Andrason made his Iceland senior debut against Uganda in January 2022 and has since collected four caps. At Víkingur, his positional flexibility and ability to operate across the central axis have made him a longstanding part of the squad.
