Ulrik Mathisen

Ulrik Mathisen is a Norwegian midfielder born in Oslo on 18 January 1999. He developed with Skeid and Vålerenga, remaining in the capital during his formative years before leaving Vålerenga without a senior contract. Mathisen restarted his senior career at Kjelsås in 2019, combining football with studies at Oslo Metropolitan University. His performances there led to a move to Lillestrøm in 2020, where he helped the club win promotion to the Eliteserien. After appearing in the top flight in 2021, he joined Sogndal on loan for the 2022 season. Mathisen signed for Brann in March 2023 and became part of the squad that won the 2022–23 Norwegian Cup. At Brann, he has operated mainly from the right side while also offering midfield versatility, and he has featured in European competition.
