Uğurcan Çakır

Uğurcan Çakır is a Turkish goalkeeper born in Antalya on 5 April 1996. He developed through Çekmeköyspor, Yamanspor and 1461 Trabzon before joining the Trabzonspor academy in 2012. Çakır entered Trabzonspor’s senior setup in 2015 and made his Süper Lig debut in September 2017, replacing Esteban Alvarado at half-time against Alanyaspor. After Onur Kıvrak’s departure, he established himself as Trabzonspor’s first-choice goalkeeper and became club captain in the 2020–21 season. He captained the side to the 2021–22 Süper Lig title, Trabzonspor’s first league championship in 38 years. Çakır later moved to Galatasaray, adding a new chapter to a career closely associated with Trabzonspor. Internationally, he has represented Türkiye since his 2019 debut and was involved in the squads for UEFA Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
