Tommy James Pilling

Tommy Pilling is an English midfielder born on 14 September 2004. He joined Liverpool’s academy at the age of five and progressed through its youth system. Pilling made his Under-18 debut during the 2020–21 season while still eligible for the Under-16s, then became a regular at that level in 2021–22. Primarily an attacking midfielder, he captained Liverpool’s Under-18s on numerous occasions in 2022–23 before stepping up to the Under-21s in 2023–24. He signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in summer 2022 and made a non-competitive senior debut against Athletic Bilbao in August 2024. Pilling has also trained with the first team and was an unused substitute for a League Cup match against Southampton in September 2025. He is currently registered with Zemplín Michalovce, while his recorded development highlights versatility across midfield and a willingness to contribute defensively.
