Tomás Romano Pereira Santos Händel

Tomás Händel is a Portuguese midfielder born in Guimarães on 27 November 2000. He began his youth development at Moreirense before joining Vitória SC in 2010, progressing through the academy and reserve side. Händel signed his first professional contract in 2019, then made his senior debut in July 2021, playing the full match in a 4–1 cup win over Leixões. A serious left-thigh injury in February 2022 interrupted his rise, but he returned against Benfica in March 2023. Weeks later, he scored against Rio Ave as Vitória secured qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League. Operating as a deep-lying or central midfielder, Tomás Händel is associated with short passing, tempo control and disciplined positioning during buildup. In September 2025, he moved to FK Crvena Zvezda and soon scored on his debut, subsequently featuring in the club’s UEFA Europa League campaign.
