Tiago Magalhães de Sá

Tiago Magalhães de Sá, commonly known as Tiago Sá, is a Portuguese goalkeeper born in Vila Verde on 11 January 1995. He joined SC Braga’s academy at the age of 10 and progressed through its age groups before reaching Braga B in Portugal’s Segunda Liga. Sá spent five seasons with the reserve side, gaining senior experience before his first involvement with Braga’s senior team in 2016. His breakthrough came in the 2018–19 season, when an injury to goalkeeper Matheus opened the door to his Primeira Liga debut. On 31 August 2018, Tiago Sá started in Braga’s 1–0 away victory over Chaves, beginning a period in which he established himself as an option. He was voted Braga’s Newcomer of the Year in January 2019 and later contributed to the club’s Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga campaigns, including trophy-winning seasons between 2020 and 2021. Remaining with SC Braga, Sá extended his contract in June 2023 and continues to provide depth and experience for the club.
