Tiago Filipe Oliveira Dantas

Tiago Dantas is a Portuguese central midfielder known for his technical passing and control of tempo. Born in Lisbon on 24 December 2000, he entered Benfica’s academy at age four and spent almost 16 years developing there. During the 2018–19 campaign, Dantas captained Benfica’s Under-19 team to the UEFA Youth League final, marking his emergence as a prominent academy midfielder. He moved to Bayern München on loan in 2020, gaining first-team experience while also featuring for the club’s reserve side. Further loan spells took him to PAOK and AZ Alkmaar, extending his experience across Greece and the Netherlands. Dantas also captained Portugal at Under-21 level in 2023, adding international leadership to his developing career. He later joined HNK Rijeka permanently, where his role centres on receiving under pressure, progressing the ball and connecting midfield with the final third.
