Timon Janis Wellenreuther

Timon Janis Wellenreuther is a German goalkeeper born in Karlsruhe on 3 December 1995. He developed locally with Bulacher SC and SVK Beiertheim before entering the Karlsruher SC academy and moving to FC Schalke 04 in 2013. Wellenreuther made his senior breakthrough in February 2015, starting Schalke’s Champions League round-of-16 meeting with Real Madrid at 19. A loan to Mallorca gave him further experience, and he joined Willem II in 2017, where he saved three penalties in a shootout that sent the club to the 2019 KNVB Cup final. He moved to Anderlecht in 2020 and again contributed as a deputy before joining Feyenoord on loan in 2022. At Feyenoord, Wellenreuther seized opportunities during Justin Bijlow’s absences, helping the club win the Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup. The current squad record lists him with VfL Wolfsburg, following a career built across Germany, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands.
