Tesfaldet Simon Tekie
Tesfaldet Simon Tekie is a Swedish midfielder born in Göteborg on 4 June 1997. He developed at Marieholms BoIK and Gunnilse IS, making his senior debut for Gunnilse in Sweden’s fifth tier at 15. In 2013, Tekie joined IFK Norrköping and later developed through a loan at IF Sylvia before reaching the first team. He was part of the squad that won the 2015 Allsvenskan title and Swedish Super Cup, and featured in Champions League qualifying in 2016. After moving to KAA Gent in 2017, he spent time on loan at Östersunds FK. Tekie then played for Fortuna Sittard from 2019 to 2022 before a spell with Go Ahead Eagles and a loan at Apollon Limassol. He returned to Sweden with Hammarby FF in early 2023 and has represented Sweden from under-17 to senior level.
