Tomislav Štrkalj attacks space and runs beyond the line to latch onto crosses for Tractor S.C. His path began in Zagreb youth setups, debuting for NK Osijek in 2015 before moving abroad. He then found a fresh role abroad. A productive spell at Slaven Belupo in 2023–24 yielded 7 goals and 5 assists. Tomislav Štrkalj moved to Tractor S.C. in 2024, adapting to the AFC environment. The turning point came with winning the 2025 Iran Super Cup, confirming his role as a late-finishing target man. As a traditional Number 9, Štrkalj pins centre-backs and sits in the channel to finish moves. He relies on service into the box and links play with one-touch layoffs. In Tractor's system, he presses high and gets shots off quickly when space opens.
