Tim Spycher

Tim Spycher is a Swiss goalkeeper who developed through FC Basel 1893’s academy after beginning in the youth systems of FC Meisterschwanden and FC Wohlen. Born on April 13, 2004, in Switzerland, he progressed through Basel’s U16, U18 and U21 squads before entering senior football on loan. At Yverdon-Sport in 2022–23, Spycher made two appearances in the Swiss Challenge League. He then joined FC Baden in 2023–24, where he established himself as a regular starter. A 2024–25 loan to Stade Nyonnais added further Challenge League experience before his return to Basel. In January 2026, he moved to FC Thun and made his Swiss Super League debut as a substitute against FC Basel in a 2–1 victory. Spycher has represented Switzerland at under-19, under-20 and under-21 levels, including a U21 start against Albania. At 1.87m, he is described as a left-footed ball-playing goalkeeper comfortable distributing and operating outside his area.
