Tomáš Souček

Tomáš Souček is a Czech midfielder born in 1995 in Havlíčkův Brod. He joined Slavia Praha’s youth academy at age 10 and developed through the club’s system before spending time on loan at Viktoria Žižkov in 2015. Returning to Slavia, Souček established himself as a powerful box-to-box presence, combining defensive work with late runs into the penalty area. He scored 18 goals during the 2018–19 campaign as Slavia won the Czech domestic double. In January 2020, Souček moved to West Ham United, initially on loan, and continued to contribute through aerial play, ball-winning and attacks from midfield. He became a regular for the Czech Republic and has captained the national team since 2021. At West Ham, Souček remains a central midfielder whose height, stamina and positioning support both defensive coverage and pressure in the opposition box.
