Thibo Somers

Thibo Somers is a Belgian forward born in Brugge on 16 March 1999. He began playing at FC Varsenare in 2005 before joining Cercle Brugge’s academy in 2007, where he developed for more than a decade. Somers reached Cercle’s first team in 2018 and made his professional debut against Genk on 26 October 2019. Six weeks later, he scored his first senior goal, and he was voted Cercle supporters’ Pop Poll d’Echte winner after making 13 appearances in his debut season. At Cercle, Somers operated mainly from the right while also contributing across midfield and attack, combining forward play with defensive work. He recorded seven goals and seven assists in the 2022–23 season. On 18 July 2025, Somers joined Antwerp on a three-year contract, continuing his career in Belgium’s top flight.
