Tunmise Sobowale

Tunmise Sobowale is an Irish defender from Waterford, born in 1999, who developed with Villa FC and Waterford FC’s academy. He made his senior debut for Waterford in 2016 and later spent a brief period with Hércules in Spain before returning home to join Finn Harps in July 2018, scoring on his debut against Longford Town. Sobowale returned to Waterford in July 2020, with a spell at Athlone Town during a period in which he increasingly operated as a right-sided wing-back. In July 2023, he moved to Shrewsbury Town, making his debut against Leeds United in the EFL Cup, and subsequently joined Swindon Town after leaving Shrewsbury in 2024. At Swindon, Sobowale made 44 appearances and was regularly used at right wing-back. He signed for St Mirren in July 2025 before joining Shamrock Rovers, where he continues as a versatile right-sided defender.
