Taishi Brandon Nozawa

Taishi Brandon Nozawa is a Japanese goalkeeper born in Okinawa on 25 December 2002. He developed at Nagata Dragon FC and FC Ryukyu before moving to FC Tokyo U-18 in 2018. As a youth international, Nozawa represented Japan from U-15 through U-23 levels and contributed to the country’s 2018 AFC U-16 Championship triumph. In 2021, FC Tokyo loaned him to Iwate Grulla Morioka, where he gained senior experience and helped the club achieve promotion to J2. He returned to FC Tokyo and established himself in the first team, making 27 appearances in 2024. His performances led to a move to Belgian club Antwerp in July 2025. Nozawa also joined Japan’s squad for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup and represented the country at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
