Tanguy-Austin Nianzou Kouassi

Tanguy-Austin Nianzou Kouassi is a French centre-back born in Paris on 7 June 2002. He developed through Epinay-Athletico, Sénart-Moissy and Fontainebleau before joining the Paris Saint-Germain academy in 2016. At PSG, Nianzou progressed through the youth ranks and made his senior debut in 2019, also appearing in defensive midfield. He then moved to Bayern München in 2020, where he continued developing as a ball-playing defender and won Bundesliga titles and the FIFA Club World Cup. In 2022, he transferred to Sevilla, adding La Liga experience to his early career. Nianzou has represented France at youth level and helped the under-17 side finish third at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Standing 1.87 metres, he combines physical presence with build-up passing, aerial ability and the flexibility to operate in more than one defensive role.
