Tyrone Deon Mings

Tyrone Deon Mings is an English centre-back born in Bath on 13 March 1993. He developed at Southampton before being released as a teenager, later playing non-league football for Yate Town and Chippenham Town while working outside the game. In 2012, Mings joined Ipswich Town, initially featuring at left-back and becoming a prominent Championship player. His 2015 move to AFC Bournemouth was followed almost immediately by a serious knee injury, and during his recovery he moved into central defence. Mings joined Aston Villa on loan in January 2019 and helped the club win promotion through the Championship play-offs before continuing with the club. His performances earned an England debut in October 2019, and he started the opening two matches of Euro 2020 as England reached the final. At 1.96 metres, Mings offers aerial strength, defensive organization and progressive passing, while his senior career has included a return from a serious ACL injury.
