Tyrell Johannes Chicco Malacia

Tyrell Johannes Chicco Malacia is a Dutch left-back from Rotterdam, born 17 August 1999. He joined Feyenoord’s Varkenoord academy in 2008 and progressed through the club’s youth system before making his senior debut in a 2–1 Champions League victory over Napoli in December 2017. Malacia established himself at Feyenoord, making 136 appearances across five seasons and helping the club reach the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final. His performances in that competition also earned him selection for its Team of the Season. In July 2022, Malacia moved to Manchester United, becoming Erik ten Hag’s first signing at the club, and made 39 appearances in his debut campaign. A Netherlands international, Malacia combines recovery pace with aggressive one-versus-one defending, while his low centre of gravity supports ball carrying and overlapping from the left.
