Valentino Francisco Livramento

Valentino Francisco Livramento is an English right-back who developed from a south London youth player into a versatile Premier League defender. He began at Roundshaw as a striker before joining Chelsea’s academy at under-nine level in 2009, where he was later converted into a full-back. Livramento won Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year award in 2020–21 and was named on the bench for senior fixtures. He joined Southampton in August 2021, established himself as a regular Premier League starter, and scored his first professional goal against Burnley. An ACL injury suffered against Brighton in April 2022 kept him out for more than a year. Newcastle signed Livramento in August 2023, and he has contributed at either full-back position through his pace, ball carrying, recovery work and one-on-one defending. After representing England from under-15 level, he made his senior debut in November 2024 and assisted Anthony Gordon against the Republic of Ireland.
