Tobe Leysen

Tobe Leysen is a Belgian goalkeeper who was born in Geel on 9 March 2002. He began playing at AV St-Dymphna Geel in 2007, spent five years at KVC Westerlo, and joined the KRC Genk academy in 2015. Leysen made his professional league debut for Genk against Sporting Charleroi on 10 May 2022. On 19 August 2023, he moved to OH Leuven, where he established himself as a regular first-team goalkeeper. In 2023–24, he played 23 Pro League matches and recorded seven clean sheets, then appeared in 38 league matches during 2024–25, keeping 11 clean sheets. His form earned Leysen involvement with Belgium’s under-21 national team. At Leuven, Tobe Leysen is noted for calm decision-making, left-footed distribution and sweeper-keeper actions, helping build play with short passes or more direct balls.
