Tomáš Holeš

Tomáš Holeš is a Czech defender whose versatility has taken him from right-back into midfield and central defence. Born in Polička in 1993, he developed at SK Polička and TJ Svitavy before joining FC Hradec Králové, where he made his senior debut and later served as captain. He moved to FK Jablonec in 2017, initially on loan before completing a permanent transfer. At Jablonec, Holeš helped provide defensive stability as the club secured qualification for the Europa League. In 2019, he joined Slavia Praha, where tactical adaptation saw him used as a defensive midfielder as well as a defender. Holeš has won Czech league titles and Czech Cups with Slavia, while also becoming an important member of the Czech Republic team. At UEFA Euro 2020, he scored against the Netherlands and assisted the second goal in a 2–0 round-of-16 victory, helping his country reach the quarter-finals.
