Taichi Hara

Taichi Hara is a Japanese forward from Hino, born on 5 May 1999, who stands 1.91 metres tall. He developed at FC Tokyo and reached the first team in 2018, later finishing as the J3 League’s top scorer with 19 goals for FC Tokyo U-23 in 2019. In February 2021, Hara moved to NK Istra 1961 in Croatia, scoring eight goals in 18 competitive appearances and twice in that year’s Croatian Cup final. He then joined Deportivo Alavés and spent loan spells with Belgian club Sint-Truiden in 2021–22 and 2023. Hara returned to Japan with Kyoto Sanga in July 2023, where his centre-forward work expanded to include left-sided play, hold-up actions and chance creation. In 2025, he recorded five goals and nine assists in 34 J1 League matches. Hara joined FC St. Pauli in January 2026 and made his Japan debut in July 2025.
