Tayvon Howard Gray

Tayvon Howard Gray is a Jamaican international right-back for New York City FC. Born in The Bronx, Gray developed with Soccer Domain FC Gunners and Cedar Stars before joining NYCFC’s academy in 2017. He helped the academy win consecutive U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Championships in 2018 and 2019. NYCFC signed Gray as a homegrown player in November 2019, and he made his professional debut in a 5–0 victory over FC Cincinnati in April 2021. After Anton Tinnerholm’s season-ending injury that year, Gray started throughout NYCFC’s four-game playoff run and helped the club win its first MLS Cup, providing an assist against New England. He also played the full match in the 2022 Campeones Cup victory over Atlas. Gray represented the United States at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup before debuting for Jamaica against Grenada in October 2023.
