Tyler Fredricson
Tyler Fredricson is an English defender from Stockport who developed through the Manchester United academy. He became a key member of United’s Under-18 side during the 2021/22 season, starting the team’s FA Youth Cup matches before illness ruled him out of the final. Fredricson signed his first professional contract with Manchester United in May 2022 and was named on the substitutes’ bench for a Europa League match against Real Sociedad that September. A serious injury then kept him out for nearly 18 months, with his competitive return coming in April 2024. He made his senior debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on 20 April 2025. Used as a left-sided centre-back in a three-man defence, Fredricson has been noted for composed distribution and proactive defending. He was also named Manchester United’s Denzil Haroun Reserve-Team Player of the Year for 2024/25.
