Tim Drexler

Tim Drexler is a German defender from Bruchsal. He began playing with FzG Münzesheim before joining TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s academy in 2016, aged 11, and progressing through its youth ranks. Drexler made his senior debut for Hoffenheim II in December 2022, appearing in a 1–0 win over Astoria Walldorf. During the 2023/24 season, he established himself in the Regionalliga Südwest, making 24 appearances and scoring against TSG Balingen. In March 2024, Pellegrino Matarazzo promoted him to Hoffenheim’s first-team squad, and Drexler made his Bundesliga debut as a substitute against Eintracht Frankfurt. After a loan move to 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2025, he continued developing before joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2026. At centre-back, Drexler can also operate at right-back, combining recovery speed and ground defending with composed distribution from the back line.
