Thomas Joseph Delaney

Thomas Joseph Delaney is a Danish central midfielder who plays for FC Copenhagen. Born in Frederiksberg in 1991, he developed in Copenhagen’s youth system before making his senior debut for the club. During his first spell, Delaney established himself as a regular and helped FC Copenhagen win domestic league titles and Danish Cups. He moved to Werder Bremen in 2017, then joined Borussia Dortmund in 2018, where he won the DFB-Pokal in 2021. Delaney transferred to Sevilla in 2021 and later spent loan spells with 1899 Hoffenheim and Anderlecht. For Denmark, he was part of the team that reached the Euro 2020 semi-finals and scored against the Czech Republic in the quarter-final. He returned to FC Copenhagen in 2024, bringing experience from Germany, Spain, Belgium and international football to the midfield.
