Timothé Cognat

Timothé Cognat is a French midfielder born in Arnas on 25 January 1998. He began playing with UF Belleville-Saint-Jean-d'Ardières before joining FC Villefranche, where he developed from 2005 to 2011. Cognat then spent seven years in the Olympique Lyonnais academy, continuing his development at one of France’s leading clubs. In 2015, he helped France Under-17 win the UEFA European Under-17 Championship. In 2018, he moved to Servette FC, initially on loan from Lyon, and helped the Geneva club win the Swiss Challenge League in 2018–19 and secure promotion. The move became permanent in 2019, and Cognat has remained a central figure in Servette’s midfield, contributing through passing, pressing and ball progression. He also helped Servette win the Swiss Cup in 2023–24, adding major domestic silverware to his career.
