Tristan Michael Blackmon

Tristan Michael Blackmon is an American defender born in Las Vegas on August 12, 1996. He developed at Bishop Gorman and Las Vegas Sports Academy, where he became a prolific youth scorer before attending the University of the Pacific from 2014 to 2017. At Pacific, Blackmon moved into defense, finished as the program’s career leading scorer with 16 goals, and earned 2017 West Coast Conference Defender of the Year honors. Los Angeles FC selected him third overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, and he developed into a player capable of operating at right-back or center-back. He helped LAFC win the 2019 Supporters’ Shield and reach the 2020 CONCACAF Champions League final. Selected by Charlotte FC in the 2021 Expansion Draft, he was immediately traded to Vancouver Whitecaps, where he remains a central defensive presence. Blackmon helped Vancouver win the 2022 Canadian Championship, scoring the decisive shootout penalty.
