Toma Bašić

Toma Bašić is a Croatian midfielder born in Zagreb on 25 November 1996. He began his development with Dubrava and NK Zagreb before joining HNK Hajduk Split's academy in 2014. A loan to NK Rudeš preceded his senior return to Hajduk, where he debuted in 2015 and established himself across three seasons. In August 2018, Bašić moved to Bordeaux, where he developed into a regular Ligue 1 midfielder and contributed goals from central areas. Lazio signed him in August 2021, and he later spent a brief loan spell at Salernitana in early 2024. Standing 1.89 metres, Bašić offers physical presence, left-footed passing and long-range shooting while also covering defensive midfield. He is currently listed with Venezia, completing a career that has taken him from Zagreb through Croatia, France and Italy.
