Thelonius Bair
Thelonius Bair is a Canadian forward born in Ottawa on 27 August 1999. He developed with Ottawa Royals, Capital United and West Ottawa before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency programme in 2015. Bair scored 60 goals in 98 appearances across Vancouver’s age groups and signed an MLS Homegrown pre-contract in 2018. He made his professional debut for Vancouver in 2019, scoring his first senior goal against Portland that August. A 2021 loan to HamKam preceded his permanent move to St Johnstone in January 2022, while a later spell at Motherwell brought 15 goals and six assists in 2023–24 and selection for the PFA Scotland Team of the Year. Auxerre signed Bair in July 2024, and he subsequently spent time on loan at Lausanne-Sport. He debuted for Canada in 2020 and was part of the squad at Copa América 2024.
