Taiwo Micheal Awoniyi

Taiwo Micheal Awoniyi attacks space and runs beyond the line, using his hold-up strength to drag defenders and feed runners. Awoniyi rose from Union Berlin to a Premier League turning point, becoming Union Berlin's record Bundesliga scorer in 2021. Nottingham Forest signed him for a club-record fee in 2022. He scored the winning goal against Arsenal in 2023 to secure Forest's Premier League status. In 2025 he recovered from a life-threatening abdominal injury. He was part of Nigeria's 2013 U-17 World Cup-winning squad and has represented Nigeria at U23 level. As an Advanced Target Man, Awoniyi links play with one-touch layoffs and attacks space, pinning centre-backs and finishing moves.
