Temirlan Anarbekov

Temirlan Anarbekov is a Kazakhstan goalkeeper who developed through the Kairat Almaty system. He began organized football at 11 and moved from Atyrau to the Kairat Academy in 2017, where specialist coaching shaped his goalkeeping. Anarbekov made his senior debut for Kairat against Taraz in November 2020. From 2021 to 2023, he played 55 matches for Kairat-Zhastar in the Kazakh First League and captained the club’s youth and reserve teams. A 2024 loan to Zhenis brought 14 top-flight appearances before he returned to Kairat. In 2025, he replaced the injured Aleksandr Zarutskiy against Celtic and saved three penalties in the return-leg shootout, helping Kairat reach the Champions League group stage for the first time. He later became the first Kazakh player named UEFA Champions League Player of the Match after making eight saves against Olympiacos, and made his senior Kazakhstan debut that September.
