Stígur Diljan Þórðarson

Stígur Diljan Þórðarson is an Icelandic attacker who developed through the youth system at Fylkir Reykjavík before joining Víkingur Reykjavík’s U19 setup in 2016. By 2021, he had been integrated into Víkingur’s first-team environment, gaining early exposure to senior football. In July 2022, Þórðarson moved abroad to join Benfica, where he progressed through the Portuguese club’s under-17 and under-19 teams. He then transferred to Italy’s US Triestina Calcio 1918 in July 2024, although he did not make a recorded first-team appearance during the 2024–25 campaign. Þórðarson returned to Víkingur Reykjavík in February 2025 and resumed his development in Iceland. During the 2025 Besta deildin season, he recorded one goal and two assists in 904 minutes. He is also involved with Iceland’s under-19 team, giving Þórðarson a continuing pathway toward senior international football.
