Sergio Henrique Santos Gomes

Sergio Santos is a Brazilian forward, born Sergio Henrique Santos Gomes in Belo Horizonte on 4 September 1994. He began developing with América Mineiro before moving to Chile in 2013 to join Audax Italiano’s youth setup. Santos made his professional debut for Audax in 2015 and became a regular, scoring nine league goals in 16 appearances during a notable 2018 campaign. That season, he helped Audax reach the Copa Chile final and also scored in the Copa Sudamericana. In December 2018, Philadelphia Union acquired him, and he contributed to the club’s 2020 Supporters’ Shield success. Santos later joined FC Cincinnati, where his pressing, direct running and physical approach made him an attacking option, before adding another Supporters’ Shield in 2023. He is now listed with Atlanta United, continuing a career built around forward play and defensive work rate.
